Selection Process for Sai Center Office Bearers for 2015–2017 Term ‏
Sairam Everyone,
The current committee will be completing their term at the end of Feb 2015.  It is time to select the new committee for the 2015 -2017 term.
We will be conducting Selection Process for the 2015 – 2017 term as per the USA Sri Sathya Sai Center Guidelines. Please find enclosed the attachment that has the Operations Manual for Centers and Groups of International Sathya Sai Organization. Guidelines.
Choose men and women who have unshaken faith in this present Avatar, with this Name and Form. The leaders of these units lead because they have the vision and the yearning, not because they have the votes or the purse. The bliss they derive is the only reward they are after. Offices should not be regarded as positions of authority or as ‘prizes’ for devotion. They should be accepted with humility and exercised with love……. Sathya Sai Baba

 As mentioned in the Guidelines, a Sathya Sai Center has five officers: President, Vice President, and a coordinator for each wing of the Center: Devotion Coordinator, Education Coordinator, and Service Coordinator. The duties of the five officers are captured in the enclosed document.
For the Selection Process for the Office Bearers for the term of 2015-2017, please find enclosed a few important points with key actions and dates:

 1.   All members are requested to fill the Columbus Sai Center Membership Form. This form will be available at the center every Sunday for the next few weeks. The membership form has a specific question that asks each member to indicate if they are interested in being part of the center committee.

 2.   Week of Feb 8th – The selection committee will review all the membership forms submitted as of Sunday, Feb 8^th and will identify those individuals who have expressed interest in being part of the committee. The selection committee will reach out to each of these individuals and identify their area of interest that they would like to serve in.

3.   Feb 15th 2015 – The selection committee will announce the names of the individuals who have expressed to hold an office along with their preference after the morning Bhajans. In the event the center activities are cancelled due to weather, an email will be sent out the week of Feb 15^th.

4.   Feb 22^nd  – A ballot box will be available at the center for members to select the new office bearers in a form that will be available.

5.   Week of Feb 22^nd – The selection committee will count the results of the votes and reach out to each of the individuals with the maximum nominations to gain their acceptance of the position.

6.   Mar 1st 2015 – The results of the new office bearers will be announced at the center after the Bhajans. The new committee will commence their term immediately.

Dr. Mohan, Amar Kumar and Nandakumar have agreed to help with facilitation of the selection process.
