Sadhana for the month of October is "AtmaNivedanam- Offering oneself to the Lord in complete self-surrender"": .

Atma-nivedanam is the highest form of devotion in which the devotee offers everything to God, including his body, mind and soul. He keeps nothing for himself. He loses even his own self. He has no personal and independent existence. He treats grief and sorrow, pleasure and pain as gifts sent by God and does not attach himself to them. He considers himself as a puppet and an instrument in the hands of God. He has no ego left in him, having surrendered it at the altar of God. This self-surrender is absolute love for God. There is nothing but God-consciousness in the devotee.

10/09 - 10/15 This week we will practice Bhagawan's teaching below:

“The easiest path to self-realisation is the surrender of the ego. Arjuna surrendered and so, the war in which he was engaged was transformed into a spiritual exercise! Do not pit your tiny ego against the Almighty; leave it to His Will and you will have lasting peace. When asked where God is, people point towards the sky or some far distant region; that is why He is not manifesting Himself. Realise that He is in you, with you, behind you, before you and all around you; and He can be seen and felt everywhere.” - BABA

"What is love? Oneness of feeling is love. If you foster the feeling that the same Atma resides in all, you will be able to love all. That is why the Upanishads say, “Sarva Jiva Namaskaram Keshavam Prathi Gachathi” (your salutations to living beings reach keshava). If you salute the living beings, you are saluting the Lord Himself as the Lord is the resident of all beings. While saluting a person you must feel that you are saluting the Lord in the temple of heart, for the body is a moving temple. Instead of worshipping the Lord in a physical temple made of brick and stone, worship the Lord in the living temple of the human body." - BABA - Summer Showers 1993, Ch 8.

9. Be Kind
Phani Machiraju Be kind to others for I love them just as much as I love you.
They may not dress like you, or talk like you, or live the same way you do,
but I still love you all.
Please try to get along, for My sake.
I created each of you different in some way.
It would be so boring if you were all identical.
Please… Know that I love each of your differences.

10. Love Yourself
Shiva Gopal As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself?
You were created by Me for one reason only to be loved, and to love in return.
I am a God of love. Love Me. Love your neighbors.
But also love yourself.
It makes My heart ache when I see you angry with yourself
when things go wrong.
You are very precious to Me!

Having come in contact with the Lord, what should our endeavour be in life?   Never get shaken in your mind, never let your faith waver or decline. That will only add to the grief you already suffer from. Make it your vow to be steadfast in your faith. Whoever is your chosen deity - Shiva, Devi, Krishna, Allah, Baba or Jesus, hold on to them tight! Do not lose the contact and the company, for it is only when the coal is in contact with the live embers, that it can also become a live ember. Cultivate nearness to Me in the heart and you will be rewarded. Then you too will acquire a fraction of the Supreme Love. This is a great chance. This chance will not come your way again, beware of that. If you cannot and do not, cross the sea of grief now, taking hold of this chance, when again can you get such an opportunity? Indeed you are very fortunate.
- Divine Discourse, Oct 10, 1964
Worship with faith and you will experience Grace. Faith results in Grace, without your being aware of it!

9/08/2013 Your Mission Has Begun   Your mission has begun. Those are My words to you, My devotees. Each of you has a unique and valuable part to play in this lifetime. Only those whom I have called can serve Me.
My Mission has now reached that point in time when each of you now has work to do. This planet has a purpose in the great galaxy in which it is held. That purpose is now unfolding before our eyes. I call upon you to radiate the Bhakti (devotion) within you so that its unseen power will envelop all who come into your orbit. To successfully perform your part, always remain centred upon Me.
Allow yourself to impart that purity of heart within you towards all human beings and all living creatures and do not reach for the fruits of your work.
This part of My Mission is performed in absolute silence. You are My instruments from whom My love will pour. Be always aware that the moment you let your ego descend upon you My work ceases. When you have overcome your negative unmindfulness, you will again become My Source.
The multiplication of My Love will be felt throughout the world. I have perpared you for this work over many incarnations. I have drawn you to Me. I have made great steps in My Mission over these past incarnations. My work is ceaseless and so your work, too, is without end.
Know that I am within and without you. There is no difference. Rid yourselves of the petty matters forevermore. You are now in Me and I am now in Thee. There is no difference. My Darshan (spiritual blessings) will pour forth from Me to and through you. You may be unaware of this constant action. Be ever pure of heart and soul and mankind in your lifetime will benefit from your unique qualities.
Others, too, will join Me in this Mission when I draw them to Me. The time is approaching when all humanity will live in harmony. That time will be here sooner than one expects. Before it arrives be prepared for whatever is needed to reveal to every living thing the true purpose of existence. It is not what anyone alive can imagine. It is not something that one can try to aspire to. It is beyond all comprehension. I can say that its beauty is magnificent beyond all dreams. And as each of you perform your silent work, I embrace you to My Heart and henceforth your souls shall be lifted up and your eyes will reveal My Presence within.
This I say to all My Devotees from the Lord's Mountain Top where all the Universes become one. Be about My work, My beloved Bhaktas. Your breath will carry the scent of the blossoms of Heaven. Your example will be that of Angels. Your joy will be My Joy. - BABA

“What is a study circle? It is not just reading books. Circle, Study Circle means taking a point and each person discussing what is the meaning of the point to them. Like a round-table conference. Each person gives their point of view, and finally values are derived from this. If there is just reading, there is doubt. But if each one gives his view, doubts will be answered. The topic is viewed; the study circle looks at different facets. It is like a diamond with its different facets, but there is one facet that is flat, the top facet, and from this all can be viewed. To discover the top facet is the task of the study circle. If only one person reads, there will be only one meaning. All misunderstandings, all points of view-- after these are brought out, the study circle members will get confidence. Centers must have study circles in this way, and none will note the passage of time. Each one listens eagerly and many will give their point of view. The Bible, the Koran, the Gita, Swamis books may be used. What is wanted is a study circle; rotating. Each one must be given a chance.” - Sathya Sai Baba

Divine Inspirations

Swami steps to realisation

Self-confidence      The firm and steady conviction that you are the Atma (Self or love). This leads to Self-satisfaction.

Self-satisfaction   Being satisfied with the bliss of your divine Self and no longer being tempted by what appear to be sources of joy in the external world. This prepares you for self-sacrifice.

Self-sacrifice           The loving sacrifice of all sense of ego and separateness to the Lord. This leads to Self-realisation.

Self-realisation   Constantly experiencing your true nature as infinite, selfless love pervading all of creation. In this experience of oneness, there is  only love.
