Easwaramma Day - Saturday - May 4, 2013
Hosted by the Sathya Sai Baba Center of Cincinnati-Dayton

Easwaramma Day
Minimize

"We are now celebrating Easwaramma Day. Who is Easwaramma? She is the mother of Easwara. Mother is given the utmost importance in human life."

"Worship the mother as God, the father as God, the preceptor as God and the guest as God. It is the mother who fosters you and nourishes you."

"It is because of the noble feelings of the mothers that sons become virtuous, intelligent, attain exalted positions and earn name and fame. The Vedas declare: Mathru Devo Bhava, Pithru Devo Bhava, Acharya Devo Bhava, Atithi Devo Bhava."

"Children of immortality, Live with your heads held high, your hearts open to love, your spirits soaring, and believe in yourself."

- Sathya Sai Baba

Sai Ram dear Sai families and friends,
A loving Sai Ram to all of you!
We invite you to join us in the Tri-state Easwaramma Day Celebration - 2013

Theme: PURE THOUGHT LEADS YOU CLOSER TO GOD

Guest Speaker: Mr. Michael McCarty

"In 1982, while traveling around the world I was drawn to Sai Baba which changed my life forever. He told me not to worry about anything in my life, that He would take care of everything. Baba is the best counselor, employment agent, travel agent and everything else. He gave me a big mouth and a lot to talk about" -Michael D. McCarty

Dear Easwaramma Day attendees,

Service is a large part of Sai Spiritual Education and Sai Center activities. As part of the Easwarmma Day celebration we would like to add this Service element which is so dear to Swami. To celebrate Swami's message on Service to the communities around us we would like to have a food drive to benefit local organizations such as Shared Harvest Food Bank & Reach Out Lakota.

If you can, please donate cans of non-perishable, non-frozen food such as

  • Tomato soup
  • Garbanzo or Chick Peas
  • Green beans
  • Black Olives
  • Bean Salad
  • Mixed Veggie OR
  • You may choose any other Vegetarian item

In addition, Kids favorite packaged foods: Kraft Mac & Cheese, Pasta are also welcome. In some of the communties a number of children depend on the lunch provided at schools, in summer when schools are closed they are vulnerable to hunger.

Donation bins/boxes will be available at Easwaramma Day Facility.

Our theme objectives are to have the SSE students and participants:

  • Realize the power of thought to elevate their lives
  • Use their conscience to tell the difference between positive and negative influences on their thoughts
  • Demonstrate positive thinking through spiritual practice
  • Recognize the power of positive thinking in daily life
  • Turn their thoughts to God and recognize the Divinity in themselves

Mini-retreat objectives:

  • Feel the presence of Swami, experience His Omnipresence and love around us and in all our activities
  • Provide SSE children a greater opportunity to interact/learn from each other through Satsang
  • Recognize and promote children's interests and potential

Gentle reminders:

  • Please join hands in keeping the environment clean and green, by bringing your own water bottles. Water will be available for refill. Please label your child’s water bottle providing name, phone # and center so we can return it to the child if the bottle is misplaced.
  • Please remember to bring and take back all the costumes and props, if your children are participating in the play/presentation.
  • Please let us know on or before Mar 31st, if you need wheel chair assistance.
  • Please follow parking signs when you reach the school. Volunteers will assist you in finding a parking spot.
  • Please come 30 minutes early, if you are carrying props for the play, as we have to keep them in designated spots before the presentation starts and be prepared.
  • If you print any document like brochures, directions etc please print on both sides of the paper, to save trees.
  • Please make sure children bring and wear gym shoes in the gym area during activity time.

START EARLY, DRIVE SLOWLY AND REACH SAFELY

Sathya Sai Baba Center of Cincinnati-Dayton welcomes you

We look forward to a “Sai- filled day” with all of you!
