2011 Mini Retreat with Dr. Narendranath Reddy

Sai Ram dear brothers and sisters and Young Adults,

We are blessed to be hosting a one-day “Mini-Retreat with Dr. Narendranath Reddy” on Saturday October 29th, 2011 in Chicago. The program is free for all and it will be from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Ramada Inn, 780 North Avenue, Glendale Heights, IL 60139.

Dr. Narendranath Reddy is the chairman of the International Medical Committee of the Sri Sathya Sai Organization. In addition, he serves as the President of the Sri Sathya Sai Society of America, Member of the Prashanti Council, and the Director of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation, which is the governing body of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization. Four generations of Dr. Reddy's family have been devotees of Swami, with Dr. Reddy himself having come to Sathya Sai Baba (Swami) at the age of five. He has been in close proximity with Swami over the years and has been blessed to have had numerous conversations with Swami during this time.

The themes of Dr. Reddy’s talks during this one day Mini-Retreat are “Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba – Loving God” and “His Message and His Works”. He will be sharing his experiences and his conversations with Swami with al of us and also taking questions and answers.

Dr. Narendranath Reddy graduated in Medicine with Honors from S.V. Medical College, Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh, India. He specialized in Internal Medicine at the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry and subsequently did his sub-specialization in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York. He has been a consultant and a practicing Internist-Endocrinologist in Southern California for over thirty years. A fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinologists, he is also on the teaching faculty at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California.

Four generations of Dr. Reddy's family have been devotees of Sathya Sai Baba (Swami), with Dr. Reddy himself having come to Swami at the age of five. For over 25 years, Dr. Reddy and his family have been hosting the weekly meetings of the Sathya Sai Baba Center of Arcadia in their home. He is the chairman of the International Medical Committee of the Sri Sathya Sai Organization. In addition, he serves as the President of the Sri Sathya Sai Society of America, Member of the Prashanti Council, and the Director of the Sri Sathya Sai World Foundation, which is the governing body of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organization.

Program Schedule - Saturday, October 29^th 2011

The Program starts at 10 AM and runs till 4:00 PM with the following components:

 • Guest Speaker Sessions by Dr. Narendranath Reddy (including Q&A Sessions)

• Devotional Singing (during Morning and Afternoon Sessions)

 There will be no SSE activities. SSE Children need to stay with their parents during the program.
