Welcome To The Retreat

Dear Beloved Sai Brothers and Sisters:

Sai Ram! On behalf of the North Central Region Officers, the Conference Coordinators, and the Conference Conveners, it is our distinct pleasure and honor to invite all of you to the 14th North Central Region Sai Conference and Retreat. The theme of this year’s retreat is “Help Ever, Hurt Never”. We are blessed this year to have Mr. Hal Honig,  and Dr. Sundar Iyer as our guest Speakers.

            Mr. Hal Honig is a long time devotee of Swami and a member of the Sathya Sai Council of USA. He serves as the National Service Coordinator. He is one of the three members of National Executive Committee that guides / advises the national Young Adults Program. He has been working with Young Adults since early 90’s and he was instrumental in the formation of National Young Adults program in the USA which in turn inspired YA programs around the world.

            Dr. Sundar Iyer is a software professional with a doctoral degree in Banking and  Finance. He joined Swami’s College in Parthi in 1979 and was among the first batch of students to graduate under the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) banner. He was awarded a special medal for Yoga by Swami during the first convocation in Nov. 1982. He was among the first batch of students to get the Doctoral degree from the Divine hands. Overall, Sundar Iyer spent a little over 15 years in the physical Presence of our Lord Sai.

Additionally, several devotees from our region will be sharing Swami’s messages with us throughout the weekend. As in the past, the Sai Spiritual Education Program for children between 6 and 15 years of age will run concurrently with the adult program. Our guest speakers will also be addressing the SSE students and Young Adults separately. You will also have opportunities to participate in various activities from the Service, Education, Devotional, and Young Adults wings.

We sincerely believe that this retreat will provide plenty of opportunities to learn the practical aspects of “Help Ever, Hurt Never” in our daily lives, to motivate all of us to serve our communities,  and to further ourselves on the spiritual path based on Swami’s teachings. We look forward to sharing this auspicious weekend with you.
