LOCATION:

Camp Henry Horner is located in Ingleside in the northern metropolitan Chicago area, about one hour north of downtown Chicago. It is easily accessible by a network of state and interstate highway. The scenic facility is surrounded by woods, large open fields, and nature trails.

CAMP FACILITIES AND ACCOMMODATIONS:

A total of 3 heated lodges with 180 plus newer bunk beds, pillows and mattresses (without sheets and blankets) are available for sleeping accommodations. Each lodge is equipped with bathrooms with wash basins and flush toilets. There are also shower facilities in the lodges. The facilities are very comparable to hotels with modern amenities.

FOOD SERVICE:

Friday: Dinner (Light Snacks and Beverages only)

Saturday/Sunday: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks and Beverages

Monday: Breakfast and Lunch (packed to go)

WHAT TO BRING:

	Bedding:	Mandatory items: Bed sheets, blankets, pillows cases
	Toiletries:	Bath towel, wash cloth, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb/brush, shaving kit, etc.
	Other:	Flashlight, umbrella, prescription medicine, insect repellent, jackets, sweater, Comfortable shoes
	Optional:	Camera (safety of these items is your responsibility). Please do not bring video cameras to record the program, due to space limitations. Audiotapes of the entire program will be available at the retreat.

DRESS CODE: Same as at Prashanti Nilayam. Shorts and abbreviated dresses are not permitted. Please inform your guests about our custom!

TRANSPORTATION: If flying, please use O’Hare airport due to close proximity to the camp. If coming by Air / Train, please call Muralidhar Rao (630-790-3837), at least a week in advance. If unable to call in advance, use bus shuttle from O’Hare to Gurnee Mills. From Gurnee Mills, call these cell phones: Krishnan Seshadri (708) 337-0768 or Narendra Rao (847) 922 6321 or Venkat Govindarajan (847) 275 4729 for a ride to the camp.

ACTIVITIES: Weather permitting, the camp staff will organize special outdoor activities for children, such as canoeing, horseback riding, nature trails, camp-fire, etc. Please pack appropriate clothing.
